“Israeli artist Ronit Bigal meticulously presents excerpts from sacred Biblical texts on the human body in her Body Scripture IIseries. Like Allan Teger’s Bodyscapes, Bigal gets in close to the contours of the human form, re-imagining the body as an abstract landscape. On the grooved, fleshy expanse, the artist systematically applies black Indian ink calligraphy in Hebrew that reveals passages of scripture.”
Tattoo I did at Tattoo Freeze at the weekend :)

My grandma used to call me Simba when I was young because I was her first born grandchild (of 11). Then when my sister was born, I wanted to name her Nala, but my mom wouldn’t let me, so I settled for that as her nickname and we still call her Nala today. Hakuna matata means no worries for the rest of your days, and I like that idea.

Here is my tattoo of the Cheshire cat of the movie Alice in wonderland by Tim Burton. It represents a part of me now, it is maybe stupid but when I made it I felt different and stronger. Every time we change skin, and it is magnificent.

this is my grandmother’s handwriting from one of the many cards she has sent me… she is 94 years old now and in the process of dying… i wanted to have this on my arm as a constant reminder that she is and always will be my rock! I loove her more than anyone ever!
